Pasco discusses new rules to open process for public comment on county code/zoning issues
Pasco Code/Zoning Enforcement Administrator Debra Zampetti discussed with PACA members in December 2011 the new rules for advertising and holding public hearings and meetings on code/zoning issues. She said the new rules are designed to increase awareness and open the process to ensure public notice of pending code/zoning decisions and actions.

PACA members vote to support Ridge Road extension
Members attending our Dec. 8, 2011 meeting voted to support the proposed extension of Ridge Road to the Suncoast Parkway on the west and US 41 on the east. Members approved a letter that has now been sent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which must issue permits required for the project to be approved.

County plans Oct. 18, 2011 hearing on "street trees" ordinance
PACA members should be aware that the county is holding a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 18, to approve an ordinance that, in part, addresses the issue of “street trees” – those trees located between many of our streets and sidewalks that are tearing up both.This linked document summarizes the issue and includes a draft of the county’s proposed ordinance. You can decide whether your community should attend Tuesday’s public hearing and offer your comments.
