COMMISSIONER PAT MULIERI, Ed.D.

Commissioner Mulieri was elected to the Pasco County Commission in 1994. She has also been a professor at Pasco-Hernando Community College since 1979 and holds a doctorate in Education. She received certification from the Florida Association of Counties in 1996. She is a certified County Commissioner. With her retirement from the college in May 2005, she has become a full-time Commissioner.

Pat sits on a number of boards as part of her commission duties. She is Chair of the Transportation Disadvantaged Board, Chair of the Tourist Development Council, a member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, a former member of the Southwest Florida Water Management Water Conservation Task Force, a board member of the Area on Aging, and active in the Homeless Coalition.

Pat has been involved in the American Cancer Society for the past six years. She has been Chair of “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer;” state Chair for the “Making Strides” Operating Committee, and is presently a Director on the Pasco American Cancer Society.

Pat has received numerous community service awards, including the 1995 Bob Graham Community College Award; 1998 Outstanding Public Servant by the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce; Citizen of the Year by the Land O' Lakes Chamber of Commerce 1999; and Women of Distinction Suncoast Girl Scout Council 1998.

Pat has been a resident of Pasco County since 1979 and lives in Gowers Corner on a small farm with her husband Jimmy.
