Commissioner Ann Hildebrand was first elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 1984. She was recently re-elected in November, 2008 to her seventh term.

Ann has held several political appointments both at the regional and local level. They include serving as Tampa Bay Water Chairman, twice, and is now the current Vice-Chairman. She is the Secretary of the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (“TBARTA”). She serves on the Pasco-Hernando Community College Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors. She has been Chairman of the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners five times and past Chairman of both the Pasco Tourist Development Council and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Ann’s community involvement over the years is too extensive to list but some of the highlights include being a founder of the Good Samaritan Clinic and past Chairman for fourteen years. She is currently Chairman of Pasco United Way and past President and current Secretary of P.A.C.E. She is on the Board of Trustees for Morton Plant North Bay Hospital; past Chairman of CARES; and serves on the Red Cross Foundation. She is also a board member of the Academy at the Farm Charter School. She is past Chairman and current board member of Youth and Family Alternatives. She is a member of the Pasco County Community Foundation, President of Keep Pasco Beautiful, as well as Chairman of the Pasco Alliance for Treatment and Health. She is a board member of Safety Town. She is also an alumnus of Leadership Tampa Bay.

Ann is a graduate of Michigan State University and a former social worker.
