Speaker James R. De Furio of the Tampa law firm Cianfrone & De Furio will explain the best and most effective ways for homeowner and condo associations to update and change their declarations, by-laws and other documents.Mr. De Furio practices in the area of Community Association law. He represents condominium associations, homeowner associations, recreational facilities, and other non-profit corporations that administer commonly owned property. He has had an emphasis in this area of the law in the State of Florida since 1991. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on condominium and homeowner association law.A 1985 graduate of Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Mr. De Furio is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Eleventh Circuit. He has successfully argued cases before Florida appellate courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, and Federal appellate courts.He is a member of the Florida Bar Association and its Condominium and Planned Development Committee; the Community Associations Institute and its Suncoast Chapter; and the Council of Neighborhood Associations.
