Bio – Melissa Seixas Melissa Seixas is the Community Relations Manager for the South Coastal region of Progress Energy Florida. She is responsible for community involvement, corporate contributions and issues management in Pinellas and Pasco counties, home to Progress Energy Florida’s largest concentration of customers. Melissa joined the company in 1986, first supporting Distribution Engineering. Most of her career has been in distribution operations and customer relations, including four years in Consumer Affairs supporting the company’s relationship with the Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC). She holds a bachelor’s degree in American History from Eckerd College and a master’s degree in American History from the University of South Florida. Melissa, her husband and their four children live in Pinellas County.
